Fire makes a move to the south

burragorang

The Southern Highlands Rural Fire Service is once again asking all residents from Hill Top all the way up to Warragamba to remain vigilant and keep up to date regarding the large bushfire burning west of Lake Burragorang.

Inspector David Stimson says the fire is currently listed at a watch and act level, but has not spotted across the lake.

However it has moved further south which is of some concern.

Residents in the northern villages and motorists heading up the Hume will notice plenty of smoke in the area.

Mr. Stimson is once again asking people to have their bushfire survival plan on hand.

Residents are being asked to only phone TRIPLE ZERO unless there is an actual fire.
