Dual occupancy at Retford Park knocked back

retford park development

A dual occupancy proposed on a corner block at Retford Park has been knocked back by Wingecarribee Council.

The DA involves creating two lots of 570m2 and 500m2.

A number of nearby residents have objected to the proposal, because they bought there on the understanding there wouldn't be any subdivisions.

Mayor Duncan Gair agrees with them and wouldn't support it.

He says they have to send a message to developers that the shire is about doing good development and not taking advantage of loop holes and small blocks.
