The issue of climate change is a topic of hot debate at the moment across the Highlands.
At last night's council meeting, Wingecarribee Councillor Larry Whipper called for council to make a formal declaration of Climate Change Emergency, something 45 other councils across the state Australia have voted on.
Councillor Whipper's notice of motion, included giving in principle support for a school student's climate strike in Bowral.
Mayor Duncan Gair wouldn't support that, even though he insists he's no sceptic.
In the end council voted four votes to three in favour of holding an information session on the matter.
