Wingecarribee Council is pressing ahead with its goal to become a carbon neutral organisation.
A number of energy saving initiatives are starting to pay dividends both financially and environmentally with council avoiding putting nearly 305 tonnes of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.
That's about the equivalent to the the annual use of 76 cars.
Mayor Duncan Gair says there have been a number of standout projects including the Moss Vale Aquatic Centre and the saleyards.
Last financial year seven projects contributed to more than $56,000 in savings.
