The Bowral High School Stem Day is taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week with the aim of inspiring students to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or maths.
This year the event has been opened up to years 4 to 6 and organisers are expecting more than 700 local primary school students.
Some of the activities planned include coding Spheros and Cosmobots, designing and launching water-powered rockets, 3D printing, and a Virtual Reality experience.
Students will learn from the school's science staff as well as some of the gifted and talented STEM students at Bowral High School.
Sessions will also be run by members from Sydney Women in Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology and the Department of Education’s IT Directorate.
