About 4pm yesterday (Wednesday 27 September 2023), emergency services were called to Nowra Road, Fitzroy Falls, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to the Hume Police District arrived to find a Mercedes Sedan and Toyota utility had crashed.
The 74-year-old male driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
The passenger, a 76-year-old woman, was also treated at the scene before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
The 25-year-old male driver of the Toyota was uninjured.
He was taken to Bowral Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established, and officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced inquiries into the cause of the crash.
Inquiries are ongoing.
