Wingecarribee Shire Council will recognise the exceptional contributions of its community members at the Citizen of the Year Awards, held on Australia Day, 26 January, in Berrima.
This year, 13 individuals have been nominated by the community for their outstanding
service.
Wingecarribee Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick expressed his appreciation for the nominees’
dedication. “I am incredibly proud to congratulate all our Citizen of the Year nominees for 2026,” he said.
“We are lucky to have so many inspiring people in our community. Their commitment and generosity are a big part of what makes Wingecarribee such a great place to live.”
The Citizen of the Year ceremony is held in conjunction with the Citizenship Ceremony
where 40 new citizens will be welcomed into the community.
