Marine Rescue Duck Derby

Back for another Australia Day, the Marine Rescue Duck Derby, and Power FM’s Abby will be there broadcasting live from 9am-12pm.

How does the race work?

Every yellow rubber duck in each race is numbered. When you purchase a duck online or on Australia Day at the event, you will be given a number corresponding to a numbered duck in one of the races.  If your numbered duck is the first to cross the finish line in your assigned race – you win $500 cash. It is that easy.

Come along and join us on Australia Day Friday January 26th at Moona Moona Creek Huskisson from 9am onwards to watch the duck races. There will be Aboriginal cultural displays performed by The Gadhungal Murring Aboriginal Community, food stalls, market stalls, and entertainment.  Duck Races start from around 9.00am. Celebrate Australia Day and bring the family, grab a picnic rug, dress up in your best Australia Day gear and watch your duck race to the finish line.

You will also be helping to support our Marine Rescue Jervis Bay volunteers “save lives on the water”.
