Independent Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has asked the NSW Minister for Agriculture to meet with him and local dairy farmers impacted by the recent administration of Country Valley Pty Ltd.

Mr Ward said he is asking the NSW Government to step up and help local dairy farmers who have been left out of pocket and are unable to recoup money owed to them.

“I have put questions on notice to the Minister for Agriculture regarding the administration of Country Valley and seeking advice on any assistance the Government may provide,” Mr Ward said.

“Our local dairy farmers have suffered blow after blow with bushfires, a health pandemic, floods and now this. Some farmers have been left out of pocket around $200,000.

“I’m seeking an urgent meeting with the Minister to understand what financial grants, if any, the NSW Government can offer our local dairy farmers.”
