Households and businesses on the South Coast urged to change energy plans ahead of $300 increase

Households and Businesses on the South Coast are being urged to shop around for a cheaper energy deal before prices go up on the 1st of July.

The average household will pay an extra $300 each year under the increases.

Compare The Market's Abigail Koch says money can be saved by switching energy plans:

"If you haven't switched your energy plan in the last couple of years, then it's more than likely that you will save if you compare and switch", Ms Koch said.
